The image below was taken on June 30, 1989 by a camera on board a Russian Cosmos spacecraft in orbit 220 kilometers above the Earth.
We've tinted the location of our home light green, to help you identify it. You can see several other items in this image. The tennis courts our family uses may be seen North of our home. Aiken Elementary is seen East of our home, at the end of Glen Canyon Road. The road that runs from the top to the bottom of the image along the left quarter of the image is Abrams Road. The intersection in the lower left corner of the image is Abrams and LBJ Freeway.
This high-resolution panchromatic digital image has a scale of 1 pixel = 1.56 meters. Can you spot any cars in the image? Should you be able to? To learn more about this image, visit the SPIN-2 Web site. You can obtain other satellite images by visiting the TerraServer. Perhaps you'll be able to find your home, as seen from Earth orbit!
